2011 Olympia - Was Kai Greene homeless at one point?

Not sure you can say that, since the Olympia has been around only three of the champs have been white Americans - Larry Scott, Frank Zane, and Jay Cutler. That's 9 out of a possible 46 Olympias.

The rest were all black and/or foreign.

But they were not thuggish! like cormier or kai. what about Arnold?

Yes he swung from trees but has since said because of his weight he can no longer do this.

At night he made a nest from branches and leafs so he wasn't completely homeless..

This is just his character, all the companies are pushing this for him, it's kind of like pro wrestling these days.  I don't buy it.

I don't know if he was homeless but he was a ward of the state and live in different foster homes. This was on one of the vids done by Palumbo who visited him where they shared a home cooked talapia dinner. He was living in a housing project where Palumbo commented on the urine smell in the elevator. Kai's place was a crappy studio apartment. Plaumbo got to sit on the couch whereas Kai ate standing up. And this only about 4 years ago or so. I think he really started to make money after winning the New York Pro in 2008 and then the Arnold the next year when sponsorships started coming in. Oscar did help him a lot in the early years.

Jay wasn't necessarily a golden boy but he grew up in an upper middle class family and got his pro card at 21. Sponsors jumped on him as he was the perfect image: white, good looking, had the "golden boy" look, clean cut, well spoken, married high school sweet heart....  He never was hurting for money.

I don't like some of the stuff Kai did but when you don't have money. When you literally don't have enough to buy food, you get desperate. You have live. You have to survive.

I doubt the guy has much schooling backround and he might have a record wich could of prevented him getting work. I am out of the loop on this whole grapefruit thing? I have heard kai greene was homeless when he was younger is this true?

Yes.. But a lot of people saw his Potential,and have helped him.. When he was younger,the gentleman who owned 5th ave Gym gave Kai all of his Shakes and Supps for free.. Kai took tons of Supps.. At least $3/400 a week.. That with all of his Shakes was at least $7/$800 a wk.. Then the free membership as well.. Kai was not loyal.. He went to another Gym,and did the same to the owner of that one... So the owner of 5th ave Gym,sold it to my friend,and guess who came strutting his stuff again.. Yup Kai. He chummed up to my friend,and my boy asked me,what should he do..?  I told him not to trust anyone that would screw a friend over without thinking twice.. But my boy looked out anyway.. We went to Kai's shows supported him,and became really cool. Kai blew through everyone. You could see he was different from everyone else on stage. I don't remember him being so weird..? He was always so soft spoken and humble.. None of that dancing around the gym.. Had it not been for the Getbig detectives,I would have never known,or guessed he had a lust for fruit..? The shit people do for money amazes me..
