I have heard kai greene was homeless when he was younger is this true?

Yes he swung from trees but has since said because of his weight he can no longer do this.

IMO, that is why Kai pushes harder than everyone else.

Look at the other crop of top O guys. No offense, but they're not exactly tough as nails. Phil Heath has a computer degree and carries a louis vuitton man-purse. Jay wore the 'golden boy' moniker from minute #1.

Kai,, on the other hand, has seen some seirous shit. And that toughens one up. He's willing to go further cause it's all he had to get out of his situation. Jay could be a personal trainer tomorrow and make a good living, Phil could be a netadmin at the local law firm tomorow and do fine. Kai needs this.

I've heard this too, he was couch surfing bad, not sleeping on trains and park benches bad from my understanding. He advertised as a escort in a few alternative publications during that time too, maybe 10-12 years back.

I don't think J was a golden boy from day one. There were lots and lots of white big USA guys just like J around. He worked hard for it, survived, thrived, and made it.

yeah he grew up in one of those group homes. he had no family life. so all in all i guess he has done well for himself

Not sure you can say that, since the Olympia has been around only three of the champs have been white Americans - Larry Scott, Frank Zane, and Jay Cutler. That's 9 out of a possible 46 Olympias.

The rest were all black and/or foreign.
