I'm not sure who posted the "only 2X% of the US has a bachelor's degree" remark but that's actually a really good number. USA is among the world leaders in % of the population who finish a university education.

Also something like 90+% of US citizens over 25 have finished high school, which is really high globally (used to be #1 a few years ago, not sure now).
