Exactly! I keep a signed picture of Eddie Abbew in a grab bag just in case the apocalypse ever happens and I need to barter for essential supplies.

Yea what do they do with those signed photos of bodybuilders ? Do they frame them and put them up in their living room or office ? Or are they collected and only picked out to be studied once in a while ?

I used to see these photos framed and hung on the wall in my gym.  That's about all they are good for.  In an age of glossy magazines and internet photo spreads do people still buy autographed photos?

I have a TON of them! Started collecting them back when i first competed in 1989. I got away with getting pics from men though and would only get them from FBB

In the 80s/early 90s (IMO the height of bbing), when pros behaved and carried themselves in a professional manner and one actually thought of them as pro athletes, due to their image in the weider mags , etc, guys like labrada, haney, bannout, ray, zane, paris,  and many others , There was no shame in having bbing memorabilia.

With the advent of the internet, people selling soiled underwear, pics of guys not catering to women in compromising positions, grapefruit abuse... That's made it embarrassing...

Head out and show it to Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars and try to take him for every nickel he has in that store.

As far as buying them, it seems to be older men that seek them for the most part. The only other time I hear about guys buying a photo, it's usually a spur of the moment thing because the bodybuilder was nice to them, and they wanted to help them out.

If you've ever been to "Meet the Olympians", it's more "Please buy something from the Olympians".  Signed pics are always the go to item, despite being near useless once you get home.  Maybe could be used to decorate a home gym.
