Danny or Tom Platz won this one. Franco's upperbody was great and his legs from the side were comparable with Padilla (NOT with Platz) but his legs from the front simply weren't even close to Danny or Tom's in the majority of poses. Much worse than Arnold's legs the previous year.

1981 mr.Olympia is simply the  biggest joke ever !

In my book i'll always have the Golden eagle, Tom Platz the authentic Mr.O 81 winner ...and Padilla runner up.

people are more harsh toward franco win in 1981 than arnold the year before . maybe so but franco injured his led in 1977 . does not help anyone .

Danny Padilla looks amazing in those shots. Its a damn shame he didn't win based on these pics. Franco is atleast 3rd if not lower behind Platz and Padilla. IFBB judging of peace

franco won in a chorus of boos . . but won . callender and danny were in top shape that day as was chris . platz is bottom heavy .

But Franco had beeen robbed for years do to Arnold. Franco looked insane in the mid 70's to 79.

That's why he got 76

81 he shouldve placed 4th at best, no way he deserved to beat Zane in the late 70s
