he should be disqualified on the spot since his routine wasn't even a bodybuilding competition routine.. i mean dude did what 3 seconds of actual posing of his body/body parts to be "JUDGED".. isn't that the whole point supposed to be?....

on another matter, at least it WAS INDEED women screaming for it/him it sounds like from the audience...

- or a bunch of guys with nelly voices.

Of course, women can scream louder than men yet the audience at these events is mainly male; not female. No one in the audience complained about him doing such an erotically charged posing routine.  :)

So many male bodybuilders, probably most of them heterosexual yet none of them even hesitate to show off and practically rub their muscles on the judges' faces. Real men know how to be sexy for other men.  ;)

It's a mix of people because people come to see friends and family. Even big shows like the Arnold and Olympia yes a majority of people are "fans" but you get a lot of people who come to support friends and family members who are pros. Don't forget now that there are so many divisions there are lots of women in the audience to watch figure or bikini

It never fails that as the show drags on and people who don't know anything about bodybuilding  start to get bored some of the women start cat calling or if there's an inspiring man on stage they start screaming. This happened at the last local show I went to. The guy looked like James dean with muscles and these young girls next to us we're going nuts

It happens. Especially if the guy is charismatic and has good presentation

Only a small fraction of the entire audience is family and friends. You couldn't fill a whole hall with just family and friends. Also, the activity tends to isolate many bodybuilders so don't expect a lot of friends attending the shows and many might feel repulsed by the sight ripped bodies with veins all over.

It is mainly fans who pay the tickets to these events.

Truth is, not all bodybuilders are heterosexual. I dare say there is very balanced number of heterosexuality, homosexuality and bisexuality among them. Being heterosexual doesn't grant you any special right or monopoly on bodybuilding. Heterosexual bodybuilders and gay/bisexual bodybuidlers don't differ much from each other except for their sexual orientation. Likewise, heterosexual bodybuilding fans and gay/bisexual bodybuilding fans don't differ much from each other except for their sexual orientation.

There are a lot of competitors and many bring family and friends to support them in the biggest show of their lives That was a large part Of the audience for the 212 men and women physique at the Olympia. It didn't seem to be that many fans which was a shame. Those ladies really put on a show. The main stage was different because people come to Vegas for the men's open. That's mostly fans but there are still family and friends there as well

People are horrified true enough but then if someone hot comes on then they'll start taking pictures and making comments and yelling. Especially the older women  :-* it was really bad in Vegas where you can get liquored up before having to sit through all of that.

Yeah, there are a lot of competitiors, but not all the members of their families and friends have the time to attend these shows, especially if they must travel to other town/city. Some feel repulsed by those bodies too.

Bodybuilding cannot depend on family and friends to keep these shows alive, those are very uncertain audience. There's when fans enter the game.

I roll hate to say it but that's how they are making the money now. Not too many ifbb shows can survive on their own with just fans. Like I said I was at the Wpd finals at the Olympia and the majority of the audience was family and friends.
There were a TON of empty seats

If you to to any NPC show the majority of the audience is family/friends of the mpd/bikini competitors. I went to a show last year where there was an ifbb portion and we were sitting next to some people who were horrified since it was their first time and they traveled but it was to support their family.

Oh and to add several of us ladies made it a point to support the women competing Friday night because I didn't think it was right that they play to an empty house when the fitness division is one of the most exciting. Things filled in for the men's open but it was pretty empty for the ladies and again a lot were friends and family my

You would think bikini appealed to heterosexual men but most weren't interested. They were there for bodybuilding.

Heterosexual Bodybuilding. They should bring one guy out on stage at a time and have him stand in between two hot chicks and hit poses...Judging and placings should be who looks the best next to hot pussy. Winner gets a plastic trophy and gets to bang the two ho's...

It is not as common as homoeroticism is common in bodybuilding, but sometimes there are also presentations when a male bodybuilder and a female bodybuilder perform together and, many times it has heterosexual sexual/erotic connotations. In a way, the purpose is to eroticise the muscular body reinforcing heterosexuality thus sending a passive aggressive message that it is OK to sexualise bodybuidlers and muscles as long as it is through heterosexuality.

Heteroeroticism may be less frequent to be seen in competitions, but that doesn't mean it is completely absent.

I have a suspicion that sexualizing bodybuilding regardless of whether the context is homosexual or heterosexual, is here to stay. The distinction is blurred.
