Val Kilmer's performance is underrated.

I thought his Batman was not bad... The movie started to get campy.

The problem with the bad batman movies wasn't really who was playing batman, but the script and Joel Schumaker's campy / neon spin on it.

Val Kilmer did a very respectable job.

I don't know why people don't get the part about batman/bruce wayne being psycotoc and having dual personality disorder, hence the voice change when in costume

People "don't get it" because it's something you pulled out of your ass.  :D  Batman doesn't have dual personality disorder.

He puts the costume on to scare criminals and to conceal his identity for fear of retribution against his loved ones.  The voice change is also part of that.  It's meant to intimidate crooks and keep them from figuring out who he is.  This was spelled out clearly in the Nolan/Bale movies.

Michael Keaton's Batman was a little nuts (that's why I liked him the most) but even for him becoming Batman was a conscience decision and not some kind of psychotic episode.

Exclusive:  Mark Strong hints at Lex Luthor 'Superman vs Batman' role

Mark Strong has hinted that he will play Lex Luthor in Man of Steel's untitled sequel.

Following the release of Zack Snyder's film, it was strongly rumored that Superman's iconic nemesis would feature in the sequel, with Strong named as one of several contenders for the role.

Asked by Digital Spy whether there was any truth to the rumors, Strong responded: "All I can say is... watch this space."

It was announced at Comic-Con last month that the Man of Steel sequel would feature Batman, and would draw heavily on Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, in which a grizzled Bruce Wayne faces off against Superman.

Christian Bale will not return to play Wayne, and it has been reported that Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Matthew Goode are among those being considered to take over the role.

Strong's new series Low Winter Sun starts in the UK on Friday, August 16 at 10pm on Fox.

Lists Actors up for the Batman role from the UK.  It's obvious that's the way they are heading, based on Sups and Lex.  UK Actors and Musicians > Americants.

1. Jon Hamm

No contest.

Jon Hamm has been playing a brilliant, talented, morally dubious savant with a shadowy past and multiple identities for 7 years. Got nominated for 8 Emmys and 5 Golden Globes (one of which he won) for it, too.

In case you’re reading this from under a rock, I’m refering to his role as advertising wunderkind Don Draper in AMC’s ridiculously acclaimed series Mad Men.

Seriously, Hamm has the perfect combination of gravitas, charm, maturity, wit, and vaguely disturbing mysteriousness that whoever plays Batman (and Bruce Wayne–sometimes we forget that they’re not exactly the same character) will need. Amusingly enough, one of Don Draper’s colleagues on Mad Men–Harry Crane (Rich Sommer)–once described Draper’s enigmatic private life by saying “He could be Batman for all we know!”

He could, Harry….He could indeed.

Could be Bruce Wayne if he was angrier and more down in the dumps!

like i said, they will go with another british actor.

NEW YORK Metro - Spooks actor Richard Armitage has emerged as a surprise front-runner to be the next Batman. The British star, 41, reportedly stands a good chance of replacing Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader.
A source told The Daily Star: ‘Richard is in with a real shout. He is well liked and has the skills to portray the dark and light in the Wayne/Batman character.’
According to the paper, Armitage impressed film bosses with his performance in The Hobbit as Thorin Oakenshield. The actor has also appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, Robin Hood and The Vicar Of Dibley.
Warner Bros are said to be keen to cast a slightly older actor in the role of Batman. Rope Of Silicon reported that the studio is looking for someone in their ‘mid-40s’ to play the Caped Crusader, describing his latest incarnation as a ‘grizzled veteran who has been on the job for several years’. Superman/Batman is due for release in 2015.

Wrong face for batman  :-X

if bale is gone, then brolin but they want british unfortunately.
