when it comes to the OS functionality, iOS is basically what Android was doing a year or so ago.

and now that the play store has caught up with the app quality, the only real reason to get an iPhone these days is that you already have everything through iTunes and whatnot. a new user with no affiliation with either platform would be far better served with an android device.

I still hate Apple but I have to say it looks a lot better. I won't throw low blows and say they're copying Android either. Smart phones need multi tasking, it needs organization, quick access to frequently used functions, more control!!! They're headed in a good direction but is it too late? They've dominated the cult market but the rest are going for other manufacturers like Samsung. They're losing market share and they can only hope it's not too late.

Has anyone ever used that nonsense?

I could only imagine that if you ever find yourself in a region where you require the use of a compass, that you might not even have reception.

Good point. The compass still should "work" with no signal - as far as how accurately, that's a whole different issue.

As a side note, do thread "subjects" change? Recalled naming this thread something different... Just iOS 7...

I was an iphone user from the iphone 3g days but now I switched over to the galaxy note 2 because of the bigger screen, instead of walking around with an iphone and an ipad i now have one device that can function as both, but if apple comes out with a big screen iphone i would switch back in an heartbeat.
