Apple IOS 7 will be coming out

In just a matter of weeks, Apple (whether you like or dislike the company) will release their new operating system for their iDevices.

Oddly enough, many of the features to this completely overhauled design have been taken directly from their competition, and now integrated into the phone.

As of just a half a year ago, scores of Apple fanboys could be heard saying "we don't need _______ feature that Android/Windows/Blackberry has; it's a garbage feature".

Now that these features have come to iOS 7, this same audience can be heard saying how amazing those features are, and how the iPhone is the best because of those features.

What are your thoughts? Looking forward to the overhauled design, or think of it as a cheap rip off of other popular OS'?

I'm looking fwd to my ipad (from 3 years ago that I can't even upgrade to IOS 5) being useful with fewer and fewer apps :(

They all steal from each other. Samsung ripped off Apple. Apple ripped off Xerox. Microsoft ripped off Apple. It eventually leads to a nice standardized system so I'm ok with it. As for "fanboys" isn't that behavior the same for any group, lol?

There are similarities between the companies, but not direct "stealing" on all ends.

Steve Jobs himself said in interviews that good companies imitate, and great companies steal (regarding ideas, and implementation there of).

Yes, fans of groups tend to be radical, but for whatever reason, Apples hardcore fanboys as they have been dubbed, are a bit more extreme, at times senselessly disputing facts and claims that they're wrong in.

So, I guess many of the Chinese companies that blatantly ripoff (steal) IP are great companies?

Wouldn't say that in the broad spectrum of things, but based on the points within the (Steve Jobs) quote, ehhh...

As a side note, they're not as big as some of the tech giants today, so perhaps they came up short of blatant rip off

That's been Apple's m.o. keep selling you the exact same product over-and-over again. with minor tweaks they built up a cult following who can't wait to get rid of their perfectly working product to get the ' latest & greatest ' version. Guy at work just got an Iphone 5 last month and is salivating for the 5S or whatever it will be called on 9/10 just because it has IOS7.  MORONS !!!

Reminds me of a friend who went to Martha's Vineyard today and lamented about how the only thing to do on the island is to ride bikes and go to these cheesy little shops , I said people go there to tell other people they went there it's a status thing , same with the I-products people get them to tell others they have them

Exactly. Fanboys are never satisfied, although they claim their device is superior to the competition on all fronts.

Did you tell him that iOS 7 is going to work on his current phone as an update?
