I can't imagine that last scenario.
Let's assume that hell exists, then why/how would a bible prevent that you're going to that place?
A bible in and of itself cannot do anything, least of all prevent you from going to hell or entering heaven. God, if He does exist (and I believe He does), knows the heart. There is no sin in questioning someone's faith or even your own, just as there is no problem in questioning one's disbelief in God. We were created with a questioning mind. How is it wrong to want to know the answers to questions that have puzzled mankind forever?
Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?" And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness! This is often true of myself. I am no better than any who come here and more hard headed than most, I can assure you. I hate what is wrong, not only in others, but within me as well. Remember, even if you choose not to believe in God (and that is not only fine, but your right as well) if you do that which is wrong and no one sees you, still there is one who knows of it.
You.
I shall tell you a truth. The Kingdom of Heaven is well within your grasp. There are no secret handshakes nor elaborate passwords. There is grace.
There is no harm in faith in Christ unlike faith in Mohammed or others of his ilk. The evil that men do in the name of God is in reality done for their gain. God does not need your money, your worship nor your praise. I suppose that we do not need Him either. If you think about it, there's been no real hint of His return for well over two thousand years now. And yet still I have faith because it may well be that I will return to Him long before He ever returns for us.
It is my hope that I've made sense of what I hold true instead of making a fool of my faith. Regardless, be well my friend.
