Solid Cages..
« on: January 26, 2006, 01:27:06 PM »
Buddy of mine is looking to purchase a cage setup.  We found one locally at Warehouse Fitness in Houston that they gave us a price of 540$ after tax (save on shipping local pickup) for what looked like a nice rack with Lat attatchment.  What have you guys used that is considered solid?  This one was 12 Guage steal and I thought the higher end ones were made of 11 guage?  Thanks for any input on this.  I hate to stear him in the wrong direction.

With anything bought locally, I'd suggest actually using the thing at the store first. Warm up, load a bar, use it and see how it feels, determine whether it's solid, etc. No hurry, take some time and have a short workout.

I'd stick with known brand names-Tuff Stuff, Body Solid, Hoist, Parabody, etc. Many of the ones sold online include free or low cost shipping.
