I find it really depends on the movement and the weight behind it. But most of the time a full ROM is the way to go. Unless your goal physique is Branch Warren... :-X
I usually go from just shy of perpendicular to just shy of lockout on most exercises. So shoulder press ill come down to just about 90* from my forearm to my upper arm and stop just before my forearm and upper arm are parallel. I dont bring my arms down to where the angle becomes acute (or that my elbows drop below my shoulder)

I find this optimum for keeping the muscle under tension and keeping my joints feeling good.

Only pussies lockout the weights cause they get to rest for a split second before going back down, the hardcore way is to go up and down no lockout with constant tension on the muscle.

And even more so at eight weeks out!

HAha! (v out is nothing in tidays bodybuilding. Diet dosent exist anymore in bodybuilding. Its just up the gear. 20 years ago they starv themself into contest shape and being strong at that point was hard. Now, its just bullshit! Todays pros arent even in contest shape, they are bloated pigs even on the scen...fake watery muscles...no separation.

8 weeks out

looks like he would be able to lift more than that for a few reps. But not wise to tear a pec.
