He actually got thicker (less detail though) in the 90's until his wrestling accident in Japan, which many believe led to his eventual death due to the pain killers he was on for the accident. Here he is a bit more beefed up than his 80's days.




I doubt he used painkillers just for his accident. In that era lots of guys abused the hell out of them just to cope with the nagging injuries from taking bumps and being on the road.

Chris Chavis (Tatanka) was impressive.


Also trained with him back in the day. He competed in other late 80' S in local S.FL. contests.

He was also one of the best shoot fighters/grapplers of all time. Any man that could give Joyce Gracie and Dan Severn a run for their money is an elite fighter.
