why is arnold using fake plates?

I thought it's been established here that there are no fake plates, never have been and no where to purchase them, let alone being able to bring them into a gym.

The curl must be legit, Ken Waller will confirm.

why is arnold using fake plates?

In film, television, and stage work the plates are almost always fake in order to simplify
the stagehand's job.

The specific gravity of iron is around 7...the specific gravity of aluminum is 2.6...

So if you took a 50 lb plate to a high school metal shop, made a mold out of sand and made an aluminum casting, it would weigh 18.6 lbs....

Do they make 50 lb plates?  So a 45 lb aluminum plate would weigh about 16 1/2 lbs?

Now I want to find out how much I can strict curl.

The rules are your back and butt have to be touching the wall, and your heels can't be more than 12 inches from the wall.

Here is CT Fletcher doing a 225 pound strict curl (close grip)
