Don't know if they are the original owners, but many of the Bugatti Veyrons have been owned by other people. they haven't made that many since 2005 (405ish), and they are having a hard time selling the last of them.
Now, you can buy a Lamborghini Huracan and GT-R that can beat it's 0-60 time, for a mere fraction of the price (thanks to dual clutch transmissions). of course you are not gonna get the top speed. And of course the Hennessey has beaten it's top speed.
The Veyron is a good excerise in what happens when you can throw money and engineering into a project...it has been said that the replacement model goals will be top 275 if not higher.
