Like Mike said the weeds can literally grow several inches in a day.....can't keep ahead of them with the weather....sucks.

I'm no lawn expert, but I know very well how fast weeds can grow (I have several acres to mow) GRASS grows too ya know.    During the rainy season, I've had to cut every 2 days to avoid "bales".  If there was any semblance of a healthy lawn, regardless of weeds, there'd be something other than weeds growing.  That looks like something beyond fixing.  It needs a total overhaul.
