"Wanted to post another story of being treated differently. My old boss is a runner and basically a 55 year old jock who doesn't realize high school is over. Four or five years ago I was pushing 3 bills and had on a shirt that said "I live to sprint" with a 70s jogger on it(I know classic poke fun at one's self fat guy move). Anyways he comes in looks at me condisendingly as hell and says "That IS a joke right?" Made me feel like a bum.
So flash forward to Friday. He's in a different department now and we hadn't seen each other in months. He comes into my office and flips out. Goes on and on about my weight loss and how much muscle mass I have now. Then he actually starts asking me for advice and says he's gained 30lbs in a year. Man did that feel awesome.
I actually work in a big place with a lot of people and suddenly have lots of folks stopping by to check me out and ask for help. Good to be that guy in the office for once."
