Lifting heavy as you can with good form = best results.. because you're hitting the muscle correctly and it's at the max capacity you can do it...You're not challenging yourself as much if you aren't at your max capacity and going beyond failure in a set...Why would you ever need more than 1 working set if you've already torn down the muscle after an exercise?? Nothing is written in stone but just for the record: Charles Glass "pump workouts" never won anyone the olympia...
What about cutler and Heath? Neither of them train crazy heavy
I don't know about that comment about Jay. Almost winning the olympia doesn't count..Arnolds don't count...Jays documentary says he always trains as heavy as possible... And I'm almost 100% sure that Dex hired Glass to train him AFTER he won 2008 mr olympia...In fact a couple years after i believe...
