Super-heavy powerlifting and all that comes with it--a motley assortment of co-morbidities caused by the practices involved: morbid obesity, sleep apnea, muscle tears and dysfunction, frayed tendons and joints, shattered teeth, organ dysfunction, which all can make one a fucking cripple as early as one's forties--are all worth the plastic trophies (if they are gotten) and the respect of the "fitness community".
