Dave said that the interview was Levrone's idea. Why would Levrone go out of his way to set up the interview if there was a conflict of interest?

Adding insult to injury, Levrone cancelled the interview 30 minutes prior to the show (ensuring that Dave couldn't find a replacement).

Simple, Levrone may not have thought there was a conflict at the time of scheduling the interview.   How do you know it wasn't Steve that pulled the plug so close to show time?

You're correct but people who enjoy status tend to feel contracts are more of a formality than a business agreement.

Apparently bodybuilders play by different rules than the rest of us .
