It is incredibly inaccurate to lump all religious extremists in the same category.  Radical Islam is a worldwide threat.  There are estimated to be tens of millions around the globe.  There is no reasonable corollary in Christianity or any other major religion.  For example, there is no segment of Christianity, mainstream or "extreme," that throws gay people off buildings, burns nonbelievers, commits mass murder of children, and routinely blows up innocent civilans.  Not even close. 

The estimates of Radical Islamists ranges from 1 to more than 20 percent . . . of 1.6 billion Muslims.  That is an astronomical number.
