Small muscles find more acceptance among people in general. If they had to pay for a ticket to see muscles they will go for smaller: occasional spectators. Big, on the other hand, attracts far less people, but the ones attracted to big are much more loyal to the "sport" and keep it going.

acceptance is the opposite of admiration

hate and admiration are very close
