As far as I remember this ....

I don't know if James "FLEX" Lewis ever told his story on the net, but he was raised in a Great Britain coal mine town (Wales??) in which his whole family worked way down deep.

As a young lad he did not look forward to that life-style so he began raising 'racing pigeons' and did pretty well at that and then got into the business of moving heavy household stuff (pianos, refrigerators, etc.) and did pretty well at that also.

Meanwhile (sometime between the pigeons and the pianos) he lifted heavy things in an effort to build himself up .... And did pretty well at that1

And most of you know the rest of the story.

A man who actually worked hard to get where he's gotten!

PS... I've been in a couple of mines and I have no intent of ever going back. It's too damn dark, dank, deep, and wet!
It's too damn dark, dank, deep, and wet YOUR LAST LINE HERE DESCRIBES A NICE VAGINA..

When, in the 30's?   ::)

Coal mining is much more safe than it used to be.

And please, knock it off with the climate change bullshit.  The climate has been changing for billions of years.

Much more recent.

I had an Uncle who worked the mines. Died from it. Black Lung is no joke.

As a matter of fact, black lung is on the rise compared to the late 90s.

The reality is that coal is a product of years gone by and the jobs will not return. Coal is a fossil fuel that was needed when steam engines were the most powerful things to move cargo. Today it's just not the case.

I do feel bad for people who believe that coal will make some triumphant return just because Trump is President. It just will not happen. While many may hate some of the politicians and call them liars, there were some over the past couple of years who were very honest that the coal industry is dead and that moving those people to the newer fields of renewable energy is where the job growth will be.

That's just reality.

Trump needs to bring back jobs manufacturing VCR's, typewriters and then horse drawn carriages.

Trump voters can't adapt to technological changes so this country needs to regress back for their benefit

Not really sure what this response actually means. Nor the meme below it to be honest.
