The movement to empower obesity has a number of roots. It's clearly designed to distract serious conversation around the quality of processed food in Western 1st world countries. The rise in obesity closely mirrors the rise in genetic engineering of crops and farm mergers by large corporations. However, this is a conversation that the elites and those that profit off of the food and subsequent sickness it creates couldn't allow to have happen.
Smaller subsets of this distraction were a rise in minority "empowerment". Black culture in the 80s and then Hispanic culture in the 90s began to dominate media aimed at youth. MTV, VH1, radio and TV shows began pushing the virtues of these groups. Both groups value more primitive attributes like large tits and ass vs education and intelligence when it comes to selecting mates. These themes began to dominate popular media.
Blacks and Hispanics traditionally have higher obesity rates due to their poverty so by playing up these cultures in the mainstream and masking it under "progressive diversity" it became politically correct and, in fact, socially desirable to fit the mold of these new beauty standards...see Kim Kardashian as an example.
In the 80s, black music and videos transitioned from socially conscious themes like KRS-One 'Sound of the Police' to 'Baby got Back' Sir Mix a Lot. This wasn't by accident.
In the 90s when it became imperative to normalize the mass wave of Hispanic immigrants you had stars like Jenifer Lopez who were legitimized initially in black music, even dating black cultural icons like PDiddy before leading moving into the mainstream and dating "whiter" cultural icons like Ben Affleck. You can hear the introductions of latin rhythms being introduced into mainstream black music during this time in artists like Cypress Hill, Big Punisher, Fat Joe, Cuban Link, Johnny J, etc.
Teens, always looking to fit in and be accepted, were spoon fed values that deemphasized traditional western christian cultures and emphasized 3rd world minority cultures. These cultures were romanticized in movies and music. White people and men in particular were shown in media to be bumbling idiots subservient to the smart and empowered women. Black men as objects of physical perfection and sexual lust, a theme in southern American states for centuries, was resurrected. Black athletes in particular were put on a pedestal as being socially desirable.
Finally, the 3rd wave feminists were duped into contributing to this plan by branching off from the original minority empowerment to a general "womens" empowerment during the Obama administration. Women are the primary consumers and are generally far more body image conscious...it's the single most important genetic quality historically to ensuring their ability to survive and procreate.
Once mainstream media was able to change the accepted beauty standards and enlarge the "desirable mates" pool of women more beta males were successful in finding partners.
We are suffering the consequences of 30 years of social manipulations. This was all done deliberately. Everything is under control.
