"John, just to clarify a story that has come up 3rd hand from the 88 USA's in Las Vegas, when you won the overall.  The story is that Bob Cicherillo was bitching about the placings and you smacked him in the mouth, briefly knocking him out, and the altercation was broken up by Johnnie Morant.   Can you expand on this story at all?"

His reply:

"Not true at all.
I had a great talk with Bob between the prejudging and the night show.
We are friends.
I also respect Johnny Morant.
He had a great physique.
Two incredible people.
No fights.
I hope this clarifies the rumors.

I know literally hunderds of people in the industry over the years...certainly don't break bread with all of them, although I may label them as a friend, aquaintience, or someone I just know through the sport.

first off i knew john when he had that bust in south florida as i recall he only served weekends...i here it was way overblown, probably just personal use and they make it out to be like hes a dealer. he is a really nice guy he went up to the carolina's couple years ago when he got a great offer to run the personal training at some gym, but i heard the golds gyms he ran the training for in palm beach were doing so bad they hired him to come back and help them out.
