Is he back in the US? I thought I read he was in Norway or somewhere in Scandinavia. If so he should be getting free health care.

Scandinavia is such a great place. Many of the Scandinavian countries have 50% tax on a blue collar working man's pay check. 20% sales tax and gas is taxed to make it close to $6 dollars a gallon. If you have a decent white collar job it's almost not worth it because the next tax bracket is rape.  Fans of socialism point to these countries as a socialist dream because they want free stuff. It's a great country if you're  a slacker but it stinks if you're the one paying.

Now Sweden is scaling back socialism because of all the slacker immigrants from Africa and the middle east.  In a homogeneous society socialism has a better chance because the people feel more connected by genes and are more likely to feel the need to contribute.  A slacker is called out by others as well and there can be no claims of racism because they are all the same.  In mixed societies socialism is a total disaster.

On point.  I visited Denmark and Sweden many times... years before the immigrant infestation.

Here is what I think is the case: veterans are always entitled to VA care which has some limitations. For example, you can only go to a VA facility. Also, there are some instances (as may be the case with Robby)  where the VA denies your claim and then you are shit out of luck as they say. Veterans are also encouraged to sign up for Medicare Part A and Part B at some additional expense, which many of them do (maybe most of them) and, if so, they can go anywhere for their care. Thus, many veterans have BOTH VA coverage and Medicare. But even with Medicare, there can be big coverage gaps (e.g., you did not sign up for Part B or you don’t have a Medicare supplement policy). Any mixture of these issues could be Robby’s problem and I don’t doubt for a minute he has big bills.

Makes sense. Thanks for explaining!
