If you watch in slow motion you can see that the first guy gets out as the overhead piece is already coming down. The guy behind him seemingly tries to squat down and get out before it closes. Like someone trying to beat the train across the tracks.

I hate graphic videos and that video wasn't really anything.  You can't see much.  A guy gets folded up and that's it.  You're not really seeing any aftermath.

Plus the fact that there is no sound makes it easier to take.

The reaction of the females is quite telling.

must of fiddled with the roller guides and a minor tweak could impact when the doors opened.  Weight doesnt seem like an issue...


Never stand inbetween the door if it opens. Stay at the back and you will be safe. The car may go down and eventually grab the brake and activate safeties. but never attempt to exit.

Could all be wear and tear in the brake pads and they just gave out. The car is running normally, so I will say it opened when it shoukdnt of happened due to negligence on maintenance

Typically when the hall doors open the car should never move unless they ate jumped at the are controller
 The slow downs activated when they should of so my guess is maintenance and negligence is the  issue.

I hate elevators. Always have. Would always take the stairs unless I was going 6 floors or higher. Knock on wood, I've never been trapped in an elevator before but I know people who have. In a crowded elevator at that. Can't imagine being crammed in a stuck elevator. People start getting sweaty, you start to smell their stink and their panic.
