We’ve never been to the Moon

Not a chance.

So humans travelled 385,000 km, sent a capsule onto the planet while its “mother” (with piloting astronaut) circled it, those capsule dudes got out and walked and drove around in a Moon Jeep, then launched back into orbit and re-connected with the spaceship, then travelled 385,000 km back to Earth, and then re-entered our atmosphere?

Rob,

I don't plan on making this discussion into a row.  Suffice to say, I like you.  You are intelligent, you stick to your guns, and you're well-versed in all aspects of the strength game.  Moreover, you're candid.  I can't remember the venue (here?  MFW?), but I *do* remember that you told me, I quote, you "marvelled" at how Nasser "struggled" with 315 on incline presses.

That said, and setting aside the technical difficulties in Luna landings for a moment, I'm curious:

If, and I do mean IF, NASA faked landing men on the Moon (which they didn't, but that's another day's ball of wax), why didn't the Soviet Union cry foul?

Forget China.  They are still light years behind the USA and Russians, nevermind their tech in the late sixties.

Russians.  If the States forged such a fakery, such a supposedly scientific impossibility, why did the USSR sit around, thumbs up their asses, and not try to discredit it?  Where are the Pravda stories about Americanski lies?

Flame away if need be, but I tell y'all, yeah:  the USA put men on the moon.  Every one of those radiation arguments, flag "waving" et al. have been thoroughly debunked.  I choose to believe mechanical engineers, astrophysicists and others *who grew up AFTER the landings and still support them* over some layman who "did some research" on Google.

Btw, to the ignoramus tl;dr crowd, you should be very wary of anyone who encourages you to "do your own research."  Questioning Big Brother is all well and good, and I encourage that.  Just the same, most people lack the intelligence or objectivity to "research" things independently.

Look at the tech back then. Look at it now.

And still to this day any single foray into space by any nation has a high chance for disaster. Usually only with a very moderate (relative) travel distance, to boot; indeed much, MUCH less than 385,000 fucking kilometres.

Also, 50 fucking years and, what, in that time, HALF A CENTURY, the likes of Russia or China hasn’t done it?! Even taken a stab?

What a work.

The distance isn't the hard part.  Reaching escape velocity of 25,000 miles per hour is.

Why would I “flame” you?

You’re a good dude and also very intelligent.

Arguments can be made both ways. And no, I do not know for a fact. Obviously I don’t. However, and with due respect to you, I say this. I do not believe men have been on the Moon.

I’m certainly no expert in any field of specificity to this topic.

I’m just a fella who doesn’t “buy” the tale.

Too fantastical. The technological hurdles too great for the species as it was half a century ago. Even for now.

But I’m just a heavy-weight-training metalhead meatball, so, yeah, it doesn’t matter one bit what I think. I’m fine with that.

Can satellites or telescopes see any signs of tread marks, equipment etc on the moon?

Seems like it could settle the argument.

Good point - you’d think they would be able to.

You state you are NOT an expert in any field of specificity to this topic yet claim what you do...that landing on the Moon in 1969 was a government lie.

Imagine intelligent people reading Getbig....they have to conclude that a lot of dopes inhabit this forum. True knuckleheads who are really dense. Dumbbells.

Or trolls. If young people were not alive in 1969 what evidence do they have about what happened then? Doing a search on YouTube is hardly sufficient simply

because there are many, many fake sites and bullshit peddled there. How does one determine that anything they watch is real and true? Therein is the problem.

The Flotsam have no clue at all about science so can be duped into believing all manner of bullshit. David Icke is one of those who dupes the ignorant.

They have no shame and even profit from their bullshit.

Too bad the moderators allow dopes to post such crap here.

How do you know you weren't duped if you refuse to watch any videos that argue against the moon landing?  It's not very scientific to make determinations without even looking at evidence.

Yes there is a reflective cube left on the moon from one of the Apollos, anyone with a powerful enough laser can fire into the location on the moons surface and receive a return pulse in the time it takes for the light to get to the moon and back (a few seconds).

This fact has been independently verified by many international sources.

The Americans did walk on the moon, it's our civilisations single greatest accomplishment.

It has not been surpassed due to pussification and comfortable living in the west, current generations care more about social media than doing anything that actually matters.
