No, you are still misled. What they said was for example to make it simple, a person had diabetes and Covid. They may have died years later from diabetes, but COVID sped it up to now. without the underlying issues they may have survived covid. But Covid accompanied by the underlying issue was the cause

In NJ they count every emergency room visit as a presumptive covid case to increase the stats. Clearly these blue states with their draconian lock downs are motivated by politics to blame Trump hoping to win in November. What he is saying is complete speculation. Neither of you have any idea how much Covid contributed to their deaths.

Half the deaths have been in nursing homes. No one goes to a home by choice. They do so because they’re too sick to take care of themselves. Their immune systems are already highly compromised and as a result are more likely to test positive.

While I shouldn't be surprised by this time, I still am perplexed at how adults can misconstrue data so badly at this point. it tells me we are a looooong way from any type of cohesion in the United States when grown adults will take a statement like "6% of covid deaths were from Covid alone, the rest had underlying issues" and translate that into "94% of the reported Covid deaths are false". The ignorance of that understanding actually scares me and makes me a bit sad for the future of our nation.
