I gotta tell ya, I just watched this the other night for the first time.  Cage's awful southern accent took me right out of the film.  Why even affect one when it's not necessary, and if you're going to do one at least do it correctly.  Only commenting because it's fresh in my mind still  :'( ::)

I’m impressed you went 25 years with never seeing this!

First of all Cage’s movie career never made sense to me, period.  But you are 100% correct the accent was awful as was the backstory. BUT all combined together somehow it’s at least an entertaining movie

I actually had to bail out of the film early so I wouldn't have to hear Cage talk again.  Truth.

the aircraft that went down was a Marine Osprey V-22

they are notorious for having difficulty in air - they usually have foldable wings and they operate with winged propellers

the ARMY does not have a variant of this aircraft - they use helicopter which are better equipped to handle more payload as well as cheaper to produce

they fly these around the coast line here - I see them a lot - they have used then to transport government officials small distances but they WILL NOT use these aircraft to transport the president because of the known issues from the past
I don't know why the Osprey is even still in use. It has to be the worst aircraft ever used by the US military.

The Pentagon is the biggest source of waste in the US government. The Navy does not need the Osprey. Billions of dollars wasted each year on a shit aircraft. So corrupt.
