I'm not sure of the context of that stop sign, but it got me thinking that we should have roundabouts, not intersections. So much less wear and tear on brakes and transmissions, and traffic keeps moving.
It would take a few years and there'd be a bunch of collisions, but we'd learn. 
The context is that rules are rules. Think of a sitting a long red light in the middle of the night with no traffic anywhere. If you run it you’ve broken the law.
