We are still friends. We are on good terms- for the most part. We can still share a good laugh and are on the same page as parents.
But some people just can't be married to each other. There's a lot of reasons without getting into it, you can imagine the issues that come between people can turn very bitter. We're better off now, whereas if we remained married we'd hate each other.
