HST!
« on: June 10, 2006, 06:53:24 PM »
Has anybody used HST training, and if so...what were the results?

I am starting to use this training method and find that although I am not physically sore from the workouts., my joints seem to be taking a beating.

I have went to the website, and I'm convinced that there is some validity to this method of training.......but are the results worth the taxing on the joints?  I was previously working each body part only once or twice weekly.  Just wondering if anybody has any positive or negative feedback on HST.

Thanks in Advance!!

I've used HST for over a year, and it is the bodybuilding training protocol I use.

Right now I train powerlifting, so I've gone back to powerlifting training, but HST is still the #1 in my book for muscle building.

The thing to keep in mind when training, is to always only use the weight that is needed to stimulate growth, not anymore.

This will allow you to use lighter weights in the beginning of the cycles, and also go real heavy at the 5th and 6th workout.

Read the FAQ on the HST forum about zigzagging too.

Some excersises could be done every other workout as well, like do squats on the 1st 3rd and so forth, and the deadlift on the 2nd, 4th, and so on. Alternating like that to have a lot of different excersises, but short intense workouts.

I'd say try to keep it to around 10 excersises.
