$85k a month buys a lot of sushi.

It's comparable with what Ronnie got with bsn, factoring in the fact he's not an 8-time Mr O but a one-time, but he did topple the champo and is a high profile marketing guy.  Plus, you know "a million" has a stigma that both the company and athlete enjoy (the company would enjoy it less of course, but it'd rather pay him 1.05 mil than 995k, as "one million" is a far sexier headline.   And it can't just top melvin's - it has to eclipse it by a tad more, as Jay didn't inherit the throne or win in musical chairs (see: 92 or 98).  Jay TOOK the mofo from the champ.  Jay is a king killer.  Jay put some action into a sport of standing around.  And Jay/Ronnie rematch at the O is the biggest story not called "the gift" in 2007.

Congratulations Jay on the renewal and extension of the Muscletech contract.

Jay had some major leverage. He brought down Ronnie Coleman at the Olympia. And because Ronnie is not retiring, the 2007 Olympia is going to be a battle between the giants, Ronnie, Jay and ... Victor Martinez.

You know do not know who will win the Olympia. He might guess Jay, but if Ronnie is 100% on, you never know. And Victor --- he just needs a few more pounds to muscle and you never know.  After all, when Ronnie Coleman was asked who would be the next Mr. Olympia after he retires, he answered Victor Martinez.

So what will happen in 2007?
