In his first book he mentioned that he used steroids.  He also stated that he lost all the gains when he went off.  To his credit he claims he would never use steroids again because of the quick gains and equally quick losses.  He wrote that permanent gains must be made naturally.  His steroid use is written about in Ripped the original book.  In the Lean Advantage II he writes about how bodybuilding should be done without steroids.

Whether your gains are from steroids or done naturally, once you stop lifting you loss them period!.  Jesus, why do people feel the need to sound so politically correct all the time?
