You are right like a clock is right twice a day if it isn't working. There may be some bbers that do not need 1.5 grams of protein per pound, but I would say this is the theory the majority of the pros subscribe to and it seems to be working fine for them. If they are all taking in 1.5 grams/pound, and it's working, how is it a joke? High protein is certainly more right than it is wrong, with exceptions.
The knee-jerk reaction that Adonis normally gives is "ALL DRUGS!!". The problem, however, is that he sings the praises of anabolics-using bodybuilders who consume what he perceives as low-protein diets. Yet, he berates those who consume high-protein diets.
A prime example is his Lou Ferrigno thread. He loved the idea of a 270-lb Ferrigno consuming 150-grams of protein (notwithstanding the fact that Ferrigno was retired, at that time). However, he quickly changed his tune, when someone pointed out that the "Incredible Hulk" star jacked his protein levels up to well over 300 grams when making his comeback in the early 90s.
As we all know, Ferrigno was bigger and more ripped than ever in the 90s (especially 1993, when he competed at the Olympia at a staggering 315 lbs). Of course, if it were actually the case that Ferrigno consumed 150 grams of protein per day (or less), during his comeback, let's just say that Adonis would be so giddy, he'd probably need a cigarette after hearing the news.
