I don't agree with that.  The type of shape you can get into by using strict form for a consistent 5 years is not the type of shape that you can get into by using horrible/sloppy form for 5 years.  Also, for the common gym rat, using Branch's form can get them hurt and out of the gym for a few months.

Arnold's said since the 60s that his biggest biceps size gains came from cheat curls. The theory doesn't hold up, just admit you're stuck on the idea.

Branch's form might prevent injuries, some of which happen at the beginning/ending of ROM using strict form.

The only thing with Branch's form that could cause problems is going heavy like that with lower reps.

Arnold has spewed much bullshit throughout his career.

A joint is a joint is a joint.  Using strict form you prevent injuries, using sloppy form you can hyperextend the muscle, move in an inappropriate angle, which can cause you to either tear something or fracture something.  ROM is just that Range of motion, moving in a way that opposes your natural ROM can cause an accident.

Arnold's almost total BS, but not in terms of training specifics.

As far as your theory, go with it if it gets you off but it's not at all conclusive. The opposite's just as true or more effective in many cases. Sometimes injuries are in fact prevented by avoiding your dogma.

branch is thick as an ox, the only reason he should clean up his form is to avoid injury. anyone saying it'd be more beneficial to him to train with full ROMs and strict form obviously hasn't actually paid attention to how fucking big he is.

Thing is, I like Branch. Actually, I love Branch. That's a difficult thing for Denny Crane to say. Unless it's part of foreplay.

I'm just going to throw this out there...It seems that in recent years, there are many more "pro's" that have poor form than those that have good form...I have trained several years and have made decent gains in strength and size (naturally), but by no means am I huge...Maybe these guys are onto something...I'm thinking about sneaking into the gym early(so I don't feel like a jackass), and using some poor form for a month or two...What is there to lose ( as long as I'm conscious of injuries)?

it obviously works for him, ive seen plenty huge lumps train with what seems to be terrible form, but they finish with amazing pumps.. just cos it looks sloppy doesnt mean it feels sloppy
