Back for MASS!
« on: May 01, 2007, 06:08:00 AM »
This was last weeks lifts...for back.

Rack Deads         HYPERS
245X5         Plate x 15reps
245X5         Plate x 15reps
245X5         Plate x 15reps
245X5
245X5
amazed how these feel so much harder than conentional - all back, very little leg movement

REAR DELTS         MACHINE FLYS
30X10         60X15
30X10         75X12
35X10  SUPERSETTED --->         75X12

BARBELL ROWS         CLOSE GRIP PULLS
115X10         80X12
120X10         90X12
130X8         100X10
135X8         110X8
SUPPERSETTED

1 ARM RACK DBELL ROWS           LAT PULLS WITH TRIANGLE ATTACHMENT
65X10         100X10
75X8         110X10
85X8         110X10
SUPERSETTED

then this week I was thinking about sticking with 5x5 but alternating between tbar and deads, and going higher rep on the other, I.e. like this

Corner bar Rows HEAVY - 5x5 (2 warmups)
Conv. deads (lighter, con. on form) 3 x 10-12
Upright Rows 4x10-12
Rack Dbell Rows - 3x8-10
Triangle atachment lat pulls - 3x10
Hyperextention - 45lb plate 3x15

Cool!

Rack pulls are great, though i'd always do them at the end.

Mass is not dictated by a resistance workout alone.  Your training regimen, diet, and rest are the three main components that drive mass or any physical goal for that matter.  You cannot address only 1 of these components and expect to make gains.  It's that simple.

It all has to come together in order to achieve greatness.
