I remember when Curtis Lefler (who was then Hawaii's strongest man as well as a national level bodybuilder ) started doing BJJ with Relson. Everyone was afraid of him, but after two rolls, everyone figured out just put him in closed guard or butterfly for that matter, get the underhooks, put your head under his chin and wait for him to tire. Then you sweep, take his back and RNC him. Curtis was more athletic than either, as strong, if not stronger than both and he would get RNCed, ankle locked, kneebared, armbarred (no one could triangle him, though). He got a lot better, as did his anaerobic capacity. After three to four months, no one wanted to roll with him again.
