Bob we both know that Lee isn't mentaly retarded, the man has made some strange "business" decissions no doubt, but you of all people should know best.... there are times in life you have to take some chances.

You're right...CALCULATED, well thought out "chances"....

Hell, go put all the money you have on 16 red on the roulette wheel....take a chance, right?

Your first sentence sums it up...

No, my first sentence DOESN'T sum it up..

I asked and posed several questions, I am curious and I don't appreciate a snide answer.  What is it exactly that KEEPS someone on suspension after suspension has been fulfilled,,,,and what would any IFBB pro do to deserve treatment likethis??  If a corporation wants an employee not to speak their mind and gives them a warning, it isn't a career death decision deserving of a lifetime sentence.  I believe the IFBB came him a year suspension.  What keeps it ongoing?   Lest I become off track, please answer my LONGGG post  and even if you've said it a few times, please tell us again, inquiring minds want to know if any top ranking NPC competitor should even aspire to be IFBB.  A Query Worth Answering!!

I respectfully disagree..."Am I wrong"? was your first sentence...yes, you are wrong with literally everything you wrote (assumed) after that.

Nothing keeps a athlete suspended after they are out of the IFBB...you can only be suspended as an active pro with status in the federation.

He requested reinstatement, was offered a reduced suspension, and subsequently refused the offer to come back.

He then requested reinstatement after the initial suspension was fulfilled, his request was denied at that time by committee vote.

To answer your last question...Should a top ranked NPC Amateur aspire to be in the IFBB? Well, if they're a TOP RANKED NPC amateur...then obviously they DO aspire to be in the IFBB. For those looking to make money in their chosen sport, make money with guest posing, appearances, seminars, have opportunities and doors opened up to them from supplement companies, gain exposure through the magazines, etc....then there is nowhere better to do it than the IFB....JUST LIKE LEE DID.

if the ifbb followed its own rules then we wouldn't be having this discussion

Who screwed who, exactly?

If Lee never went to a rival federation, knowing full well what his fate would be...we wouldn't be having this discussion...

They did follow their own rule....competing for a rival federation is punishable by suspension, and possible expellsion.

No...the fans won't be any worse for wear...the BBers will.

Guys make money...a few, very good money...the rest...not so much.

I can see what you are saying Chick, but I think you missed my point. As a Fan I want to see as many top guys on stage as I can to compare and watch the battles unfold, what if a few years back Ronnie had taken the route that Lee did and not been allowed back in the IFBB for some reason or another. As a fan I don't give a toss about the polotics behind it all, i just want to see the best Bodybuilders in the world on stage at one time......as a fan that is really what we all want :-\.

if the actually ifbb enforced its drug testing policy (parts of the RULES, not code of conduct) then we would have something else to talk about,
namely how much smaller some of the "elite athletes" of the ifbb are without drugs.

the ifbb arbitrarily enforces its rules, plain and simple.
in your own round-about, poiltically correct, ass kissing way, even you have said this.

Question....

Since Lee isn't an IFBB Pro anymore....

can he still compete in an amateur NPC event?

We've already been through this. The IFBB has the opportunity to drug test all they wish, as part of the rules. It's not my job to make a stink that they do, as long as it's fair to all...(everyone gets tested, no one gets tested)

No one has filed a complaint that they havent tested...
