Yeah I see what you mean.  I think there are no proper restrictions or guidelines for spending.  These politicians get re-elected b/c of the bacon/spending they bring home.  When a senator cries that he'll resign immediately if funding for his state's bridge to nowhere is cut, we have a big problem. 

Line item veto....if u have a defense bill...it should all be about defense period.

Rep. Davis (R-KY), Rep. Blumenaur (D-OR), Rep. Serrano (D-NY), Rep. Ferguson (R-NJ) and Rep. Sandlin (D-SD)

How dare Obama ask me or anybody else to do shit. This guy has been riding the coattails of what many in this country have sacrificed for. My family has bled for the last 90 years so all of us can drive SUV's and enjoy AC. How dare this socialist piece of shit dictate to me what I can drive.  How dare he say we eat to much...fuck him. He wants to walk around at 120 lbs so be it..I'm having steak. I'm not giving my standard of living up so some asshole in the Sudan can waste petrol committing genocide. I want to get off gas...partly for our economy and partly because I want to see the looks on the faces of all those worthless raghead douchbags when they realize that they can't eat the oil. I'm all for hybrids, ethenol, whatever u have. But i won't be dictated to by a guy who rides around in massive armor plated SUV's and private jets. Its not even the SUV's...its the AC and food. You can thank the conservative judges and Rudy Guilani for getting the Line Item veto removed.
That was one good thing that Clinton tried. At least it would have limited the pork barreling or made the president more responsible for it.
