I have a hard time believing that Titus had a "better deal" lined up.
Typically if a judge is NOT going to go along with a plea deal he tells everyone up front, so they can think long and hard about it.
Also remember that 85-99+% of ALL cases do NOT go to trial. They are almost all plea bargained.
Now, having said that, I would say about 70-90% of people who do plea deals^^^, once they have been in the joint a few months
try to undo them.
I am not kidding you-the number of people that try to go to trial after a plea bargain is HUGE .
They then file motions to set the plea aside.
Now, you can imagie what would happen if 90% of the plea bargains were set aside and all the work that went into them was wasted?
...the system would be in chaos and would collapse.
Once you do a plea, and it is on the record, and you waived all your rights-it is done. Over. Finished.
There is no gong back and asking for a trial. Your case is over. And the fact is 90+% of cases that go to trial lose..... and a long sentence is imposed.
So a plea is the way to go>>> unless you're actually innocent.
Stick a fork in TightAss and his case-it's done.
