Titus to appeal sentencing and go to trial?
« on: August 23, 2008, 03:35:42 PM »
Just when you thought we've seen it all with Craig.

http://www.titusandryan.com

Glass sentenced Titus to 21 to 55 years in prison. His attorney said he was shocked, because he said he was promised 17 to 55 years.

The hearing stopped, but no amount of arguing would save his client.

Still emotional, Ryan received her sentence of six to 26 years in prison.

Titus’ attorney said the judge’s ruling opens the door for his client to take back his guilty plea and allow the case to go to trial.

He said they could file the paperwork as early as next week.

It also means that Titus can get a stiffer sentence, which he will.

Is he being tried by state or federal authorities ? It is a given in federal court that if a plea is not taken they will always push the max if taken to trial.

Titus is already a lifer, and now he set Kelly free in less than 10 years.

now he's going to roll the dice and either get 70 years, or get off with time served.

Not a bad legal move for a guy who's gonna get out at age 70, best case scenario.

According to the Muscle Missions, Craig is supposed to tell what really happened after he's sentenced.  ::) What a fuckin' circus - it's hard to say who's more full of shit.

I have a hard time believing that Titus had a "better deal" lined up.

Typically if a judge is NOT going to go along with a plea deal he tells everyone up front, so they can think long and hard about it.

Also remember that 85-99+% of ALL cases do NOT go to trial. They are almost all plea bargained.

Now, having said that, I would say about 70-90% of people who do plea deals^^^, once they have been in the joint a few months try to undo them.

I am not kidding you-the number of people that try to go to trial after a plea bargain is HUGE .

They then file motions to set the plea aside.

Now, you can imagie what would happen if 90% of the plea bargains were set aside and all the work that went into them was wasted????...the system would be in chaos and would collapse.

Once you do a plea, and it is on the record, and you waived all your rights-it is done. Over. Finished.

There is no gong back and asking for a trial. Your case is over. And the fact is 90+% of cases that go to trial lose..... and a long sentence is imposed.

So a plea is the way to go>>> unless you're actually innocent.

Stick a fork in TightAss and his case-it's done.

You are a liar. Muscle Missions never published such a statement.

Yup.  He gave a detailed account of the event leading up to and during the murder.  If he goes to trial he will get 50-75 years.

Exactly, he should have just taken what he got.  The judge said she had no record of any kind of plea bargain.  There was nothing in writing

First off you do a plea bargain for a reason-bith sides get something-so yes tehre was a plea bargain. Was i in writing?? Who teh hell knows, but you don't plead guilty to full charges without a plea -----that does not make any sense.

CT better hope he does not chnage his deal.

It also means that Titus can get a stiffer sentence, which he will.

It also means he's eligble for a bond hearing, which he will be denied.

No he isn't.

Bond is available to everyone with the exception of;

1) those that may flee (Titus has already tried to flee-so he loses bond right here), and

2) Those that pose a danger to society (this charge fits into #2).

So Titus would never get out on bond-never.

Killers,  as a general rule, do NOT get set free on bond......and the ones that are allowed out on bond are either;

1) Heavily connected politically, or

2) Wealthy as shit ( Phil spector fits into this catagory).
