Auto workers get a livable wage and basic benefits.

Some have 4 day workweeks.  If there's a particular negotiated pay frame that calls for payments on a downday then so what?

'So what' is that the taxpayers are getting to pay them to NOT WORK! Lay their asses off if there is not a job for them to do! Where in the workplace can anyone OTHER than unionites get paid and hold a position when the position isn't needed (other than government)?

I don't seem to recall you complaining about salaried autoexecutives getting paid for their days off?  And they make 6-7 figure salaries annually.

You're right, because a very few on the top are taking advantage, millions on the bottom get a free pass...  ::) What the hell, the taxpayers cover the costs anyways.

Do the UAW lineworkers fly private jets to their own vacation retreats?  I'd bet the auto executives do.  After all, they flew the private jets to washington to collect a bail out.

Yep, I totally feel OK about organized crime labor ripping off the people of the US now...

Take a look at my response to him.

It's not just the college grads who will suffer.  IF the US enters a depression, then we'll all be in dire straits.  The average depression in US history has lasted 7 years.  Everyone will suffer.

And for what it's worth, education is its own reward.  It's not the piece of paper.
workin mdcdonals has its own rward,,,it not how you fop the burger,,its how you make it.

Yup. Not hard to see why the auto manufacturers love this idea, eh? The unionites love it because they keep all bennies and most pay, yet work 20% less.

Last word was that the gvt fell for it.

Only in the world of unionism would this ever fly.

The auto workers are producers in our country.  The manufacturers create wealth.  The middle class manufacturer is (was) the economic foundation of this country.

Instead of slighting them with your scorn, you should be kissing their feet for providing you with the richest country in the world.

The lineworkers did not create this depression.  NO, you can thank the wall street libertarian asshole crooks for that.  They took that wealth and gambled it away with their collateralization debt obligations and credit default swaps.  The anti-government-deregulation crowd that creates nothing and lives like kings off of the fruits of the labor of the UAW is the same bunch of crooks that put the world's markets in stranglehold.

They're so wise.  I mean why didn't Dillinger just ask banks to get rid of their security guards and take the locks off the vaults?
