Drop the BP and focus on dips and inclines, you may surprise yourself. Personal view, that's all, the BP is a very over rated exercise.
If your into BB'ing, having a big bench does not mean a big chest or shoulders. There are some BB'ers who can put up 350-400, who are not that impressive looking. Than there are other BB'ers who only handle 230 to 270, in regular workouts, with bigger chest, shoulders & triceps. Try not being too overwhelmed by numbers. Because some people are just natural BP'er and most guy's are not. Does not mean to give up having a big bench or training hard, but a lot of lifter will not get much over 300 after years of training. Though they can have outstanding muscle mass.
No disrespect, but 135 is below average for any type of lifter. Unless your a teenager and have a few months training. If still whacked out about improving your bench than try different hand positions, from extra wide to a closer grip. If your delts are getting the blunt of the work, you grip will need adjusting. Also the pressing style and position. Can also do DB's, rather than a BB for pressing, to help. One thing that has helped a lot of lifters, for improving their bench, is overhead pressing. Either front or behind the neck. Good Luck.
SideBar: my two cousins benched over 400 while working out in the football training room. This was when they were in high school. Just a natural gift, nothing special that they did, they were good at it..
