The fact is that Reagan helped the USSR speed up its collapse.  He forced them to spend themselves into collapse on military expenditures and I dont know too many people who disagree with that.  Communism is a failure no matter where it is tried and the USSR was destined to fail since it was an evil empire as Reagan put it. 

As far as the spending, I agree that he helped explode the debt, but you cant ignore the congress and senate who were just as culpable in that regard.

As far as Palin goes, I have always been completely honest about my feelings about her.  She has a ton of talent, needs work, and is not ready yet.  I like her policies, positions on issues, and admire what she has accomplsihed in life given her circumstances.

The issue isn't whether they have an education. It's the rather foolish assumption than an Ivy League education equates to good common-sense policies and judgment, with regards to the issues of our country.

Obama's Ivy League education doesn't change the fact that he has employed some of the DUMBEST policies in the history of this country. And, he's only been in office less than a year.

That education ain't translating to real-world results. And as long as it doesn't, chirping about how "smart" Obama or any other politician with a Harvard or Yale degree means absolutely NOTHING.

Obama wasn't ready either. That didn't stop him from getting to the White House.

The difference is that Palin, in my view, will use common sense and kept our taxes low and kill nonsense like the stimulus bill.

I'd like to see Mike Huckabee give it another run. And, a Huckabee/Palin (or Palin/Huckabee) ticket would sound quite nice to me.
