Super Hero fans have been fighting Hollywood since the days of George Reeves and the studios have never listened, but most of those movies have made money anyway.
I've argued with a couple of big time Hollywood producers but it's been a waste of time on my part.
The only way you can convince them to start using the actors who look like the characters in the comic books is to avoid paying for a ticket, but there will still be those among us who would pay $10 to see Nicholas Cage play the part of Superman.
When they were discussing the possibility of a Superboy movie based on the punk Superboy in the leather jacket, we unofficially submitted a shit-load of photos of the younger competitive bodybuilders who would fit that role perfectly, but that project was shelved but I heard that they were somewhat interested in one of the George Betancourt shots. I
messed up a bit there though because it was a shot of him when he was a teenager and now he can probably play the part of Jor-el.
I have heard a rumor that Kevin Spacey got $1,000,000 a day from the day he left his house till the day he got back home to participate in that last Superman fiasco shot in Australia. I personally think that any decent, lesser known actor could have done just as well in that role for $200,000 or less.
It's crazy how easily the money is spent on major Hollywood productions.
