If you had actually been here since then, you wouldn't have it's the same. The board has changed in many ways. From the layout of the (as Vince said) the scrolling text engine, the people here (Vikingpower, Flower, Geo, Goatboy, Slippeddisc, and many many others), the accepted behavior is far FAR different now. From the ownings, meltdowns and people finding personal info on others...to being TO'd far quicker. Ron is harder on the gimmicks too.
I've been here about 10yrs, and remember quite a bit. Every now and again a thread like this pops up, and I like to see what people do and do not remember.
Yea, amazingly enough the first bodybuilding internet trolls were folks like Patrick Arnold, Dan Duchaine, and the staff of Muscle Media 2000. Back in the early and mid 90's on the Usenet's, it was just as wild as today. Duchaine actually once posted up that Mike Mentzer had died and all those rumors about him drinking urine and directing traffic were straight from the Usenets.
Dan Duchaine really didn't give a rats ass who he offended or what he said. Complete bad ass who showed no mercy.
Oh yeah, Ron wasn't always fat. He used to be a decent bodybuilder and had a good physique. Hell, even Issac from Lift Studios used to complete...pretty good six pack.
