Hey thanks!  The diamond ships tuesday, then i'll deliver that to the jeweler to set in the setting.  I am excited as she is a wonderful girl.

It's funny to read all the dicks on here posting about how its silly to buy a ring etc... and how women suck etc....   you'd think they'd be happy for someone.  Not everyone gets played or screwed over by women.  AND some, just some, are really nice and worth marrying.

Anyway, thanks for everyone who posted postive stuff on this thread.
in reality, I am happy for you (I was listening to some Coltrane last night)...
But, you have to admit, the whole diamond thing is a gimmick...

A 20th century gimmick. But, if the foundation of your relationship is as solid as that diamond, then good for you.

Oh, it's crap.  I hate that i had to spend x amount of dollars for it.  SHe is a great girl, but in today's society, you have to keep up with the Jones' so to speak.  Regardless, i love her and want her to be proud of it.  She never asks for a thing.

All these old fux getting played like a piano for their cash!!

No, it's a trade off..one that they understand, these guys know that the bitches are just there for the $$$

it's a mutual agreement, the guy wouldn't be with the bitch if she wasn't a trophy, and she wouldn't be with him if he wasn't feeding her $20,000 a day shopping habit.

That isn't how it works. If you ARE in love with a beautiful woman then a big diamond is a small price to get her. Not saying she will demand it but she sure will be able to get offers if that is what she wants. Look at movie stars, etc. The size of a diamond says a lot to other women and that is very important to them.

I had a girlfriend who owned over $1,000,000 in jewelry. She wore a diamond over 11 carats. Nothing less that 10 good carats would please her. That might not be sufficient, either. You just can't please some women.

god i would love to have run into her in an alley  :D

Most of the lads here have no experience at all. If you ever meet a rich woman and she likes you it is a big bonus that she has money. I used to think money didn't matter. Well, it might not be necessary for happiness but you sure can live in style! So I can understand women going for rich guys. Some of the older guys no longer look so great but they are usually smart and interesting. Did I mention generous?.

Here are most of the big diamonds she had. The green one is a natural 5 carat and worth probably around $200,000 if you can find one. She had pearls, emeralds and other jewelry. She used to carry a lot of it with her when travelling abroad. Crazy but I guess she preferred to have them with her instead of being robbed at home. We went shopping for a 12 carat diamond. That was fun. You should see how well you get treated by jewelers when they know you have money.

Open the photo up to see how impressive that jewelry is.

Well, some women marry a guy for his convenience. Like to allow an executive to stay in Canada and work. She said he was a part owner of a big international company and wanted to have a wife so he could complain with the others about what their wives bought that week. She never had sex with the poor bugger. How about that? Lasted for 13 years. Don't ask me how female brains work but I guess she wanted to be rich and this was how she achieved it.
