1. Facebook guy
2. Tea party
3. Julian Assange

hitler even for this award... cause it's not about who made the world a better place in that year.  rather, it's about who made the greatest impact upon mankind in that particular year.

In 2001, I thought the evil scumbag bin Laden probably deserved it - because giving it to Rudy (whose contribution was a series of speeches responding to the world-changing event Bin laden caused) seemed to be just the more popular thing to do.

IMO, this is a case of the same thing.  Assange has done something on a worldwide basis which has never been done, and will probably never be done again.  He's risking his life for what he belives is right.  He's revealing history that will be studied for centuries to come - imagine a 'wikileaks' during the middle of WWII or Vietnam.  Assange is doing something huge ona  global scale.

Zuckerberg bas been doing facebook for almost a decade.  IMO, he's the man of the year because he was in a movie, and it's a safe choice.  TIME catering to magazine sales over choosing the unpopular d-bag who is making history and an amazing impact.

Yet they chose a douche to put on top... lighten dude, his "impact".. oh brother.. until another, more open "social media" platform comes along which is literally months away... He isn't a "game changer", he's an opportunist with good timing... his "contribution" is too easily reproducible...

Compare to Moore (intel), Jobs, Groove, Wozniak.. even Gates... just to stay in Tech....
